Here is my travel tip for today:
When taking a vacation that involves the potential for lost luggage (such as flying or cruising), make sure to pack a little bit of everyone's clothes in each suitcase. If someone's bag gets lost, there will at least be a few outfits in the other suitcases.
This tip may be something that everyone already does, but it never really occured to me until I had read it online a few years ago before one of our vacations. Although it felt a little odd at first, it is now a MUST for us.
No lost luggage yet, but if it were to happen we will be prepared.

Great idea - we're leaving on vacation in just a few weeks, I'll have to remember to do this.
Thanks.
Would have helped a scout leader friend of ours who got all the way to Holland (on an international scout camp) thinking his wife had picked his case up and put it on the coach. NO, she thought he had. It was still in their hall when they got home.
Thankfully the coach driver took him into town one day to buy some new clothes.
What a great idea! I spent 10 days in Rome with my aunt who'd lost her bag. In every photos she's wearing the same sweater...
What a good idea! I was telling my husband about how the Magic Express takes the bags to the hotel and he's very nervous about that. I'm not sure how it works, but I figure it's worked out for everyone else who goes, so we'll be fine!
Magical Express is AWESOME!! There were some glitches when it first started, but they have really worked out the kinks now. As long as you clearly mark your bags, you should have no problems.
